**Hours of work**

This is a part-time position scheduled up to 20 hours per week, including days, evenings, weekends, based on program schedules. Program staffing needs include:

- Preschool & Youth Drop-In programs
- Arts programs
- Dance programs
- Children’s Theatre programs
- Music Programs
- Inclusion programs & Inclusion support (both dryland and swimming pool based)
- Badminton & Pickleball programs

**Key duties and responsibilities**
- Plan, organize, and deliver high quality, safe and stimulating activities for recreation programs.
- Maintain a safe and clean program space; as well as ensure equipment/supplies are safe, age appropriate and stored properly.
- Completes administrative duties (i.e. Attendance, Accident/Incident Reports, opening and closing duties etc.).
- Take action to deal with incidents, problems, and emergencies as outlined in City of Guelph policies and procedures.
- Report all concerns, accidents, and incidents to immediate supervisor for follow-up; take appropriate action to address these items.
- Maintain an understanding of department programs and services.
- Provide a high level of customer service to participants and caregivers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications and requirements**
- Experience working with children/youth aged 2-18, preferably in a recreation setting.
- Experience creating and delivering programming.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to respect and maintain participant confidentiality.
- Standard First Aid with CPR C.
- A satisfactory Police Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Check is required at time of offer.

**Pay/Salary**
$17.05-$17.60 per hour
