**Summary - Accounts Payable Clerk**

Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Account Payable Clerk is responsible for assisting in the administration of Accounts Payable, month-end reporting, and other administrative tasks as required. The position offers the opportunity for hybrid work.

**Responsibilities**:

- Match purchase orders to supplier invoices by confirming prices and quantity
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders
- Process supplier invoices on ERP system (Syspro)
- Create and maintain supplier files in Syspro
- Verify supplier accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
- Respond to supplier inquiries in a timely manner
- Provide supporting documents for month-end close and year-end audit
- Maintain records of invoices, reports, and other documentation by saving and filing documents properly
- Process and record outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Understand compliance issues around accounts payable processes (banking, sales tax, etc.)
- Other tasks as required

**Qualifications, Education and Experience**:

- Minimum of 1 year of Accounts Payable experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry
- Business Administration Degree in Accounting or currently/will be enrolled in the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) program
- Able to operate in a high volume environment with tight deadlines
- Organized, detail-oriented, and goal-oriented individual who is looking to grow in his/her accounting career
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Proficient in in MS Office
- Good problem-solving skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
