Job Summary
Reporting to the Director, Environmental Affairs, the primary responsibility of this role will be to assist the Health, Safety & Environment Team in the development and implementation of corporate programs and processes in a number of key areas. This is an office-based role in Equinox Gold’s head office in Vancouver.

Key Responsibilities

**Greenhouse Gas Initiatives**:
Support Corporate personnel with the tracking of GHG reporting from sites.
Develop and maintain a GHG opportunities register to track ongoing GHG reduction performance against targets.
Work with site personnel and IT project management to identify opportunities for automation of GHG data collection and graphical representation of the data.
Support researching of information on GHG reduction technologies for consideration.

**Environmental Management System**:
Support development of Corporate documentation to implement the EQX Corporate EMS.
Assist in the development of the Corporate environmental aspects registry.
Work with sites on development of documents and standards to address gaps in site-level EMS.

**Corporate Crisis Management**:
Support development of tools and information related to a Corporate Crisis Management toolbox.

**Water Stewardship**:
Support information gathering to inform the Corporate water stewardship strategy.
Support development of tracking tools related to water use initiatives being implemented by sites.
Work with site personnel and IT project management to identify opportunities for automation of water data collection and graphical representation.

Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Display organization and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision, and as part of a team.
High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
Ability to remain organized, multi-task, and manage time effectively under tight and competing deadlines.
Able to interact professionally and diplomatically with people at all levels of an organization.
Previous experience in the mining industry is not essential but would be considered an asset.

The salary range for this position is from $3,500.00 to $4,500.00.
