The

Grace Haven program is an Education Community Partnership Program

(ECPP) that supports young parents from the community. The Salvation

Army is the community partner that oversees the program. Youth in the

program are not pupils of HWDSB. The program currently is operating remotely out of the Hill Park Learning Centre while repairs are being made the the Salvation Army building at 138 Herkimer.

**QUALIFICATIONS**: Ministry Requirements as outlined in The Education Act

Intermediate/Senior teaching qualifications

Special Education pt 1 (preferred)

Guidance and Careers pt 1 (preferred)

**KEY COMPETENCIES**:
Evidence of successful previous teaching experiences in ECPP, Section 23 (CTCC), and/or System Alternative Education

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students in an alternative learning environment and offer a variety of courses outside of OCT qualifications, within reason

Demonstrated ability to collaborate with agency partners, colleagues, administration and caregivers

Knowledge of and successful implementation of strategies related to Differentiated Instruction and assessment

Collect and analyze student data pertinent to program needs in partnership with Board staff

Where required, work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to facilitate intake processes and transition planning

Communicate and collaborate with caregivers, community agencies and supports, and Salvation Army staff

Work with system teams to develop and implement Education Plans

Work with system and school administration to facilitate Case Conferences and regular Plan of Care meetings with appropriate system, school and community partners
