**QUALIFICATIONS**:Ministry Requirements as outlined in The Education Act
- Guidance & Career Studies
- Special Education preferred

**KEY COMPETENCIES**:

- working knowledge of PowerSchool in the role of Guidance Counsellor (student timetable changes, PTC monitoring)
- demonstrated success in a Guidance Counsellor or similar role (e.g. Student Success) supporting student well-being and peer relations
- demonstrated understanding of program pathways and post-secondary destination planning
- excellent written and verbal communication skills with colleagues, caregivers & students
- working knowledge of the student option selection and school timetable processes
- Demonstrated commitment to improve the well-being of all students and close the
gap for those currently and historically underserved
- Demonstrated success as part of a collaborative team
- Strong understanding of digital skills and 21st Century Learning/Global Competencies
- Understand and respond to student voice at Saltfleet and willing to support participation in school activities
