Bonaventure Support Services in collaboration with the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) will be opening a Limited Mobility group home in the Parksville area. To meet the needs of community and family, Bonaventure is seeking to hire a Program Manager. The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily coordination of program services, by providing supervision, leadership, and direction to the assigned program and number of employees. This position is responsible for ensuring that the supported individuals' physical, emotional, social, vocational and health needs are met As a manager, you are expected to actively support and implement the vision, mission, values, and program goals of the agency. Our leaders guide teams to support individuals to unlock their potential to self and community.

Bonaventure Support Services is a dynamic and adaptable agency that supports adults, children and youth within the social service sector on Vancouver Island. We offer a broad range of services providing opportunities to those who live with diverse-abilities. **Qualifications**:

- Preferred formal education (Diploma or Degree, CSW, RCA, SIVA etc.) and/or work experience with persons with diverse-abilities and/or other relevant experience.
- Excellent interpersonal behavior and communication skills
- The desire and ability to work with persons with diverse-abilities and demonstrate personal suitability to promote dignity, independence, individuality.
- Ability to work independently in a sometimes high stress environment.
- Must be in good health with the physical ability to carry out the duties of the position and shift responsibilities.

**Skills and Abilities**
- Ability to maintain a strong team of individuals with diverse backgrounds to feel safe, trusted, confident, and empowered to carry out their duties in an efficient manner.
- Good oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Train, orientate, coach, evaluate, support and mentor employees.
- Ability to evaluate issues and identify resolution, leading through difficult situations and maintain a team spirit
- Ability to manage high behavioral environments while working under pressure.
- Ability to build and maintain strong connections and a pleasant working environment with families and team members.
- Show a high standard of professionalism and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to set priorities, manage multiple responsibilities, meet timelines, and work independently.
- Strong organizational, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Coordinate a weekly staffing schedule and manage program funding by reconciling monthly petty cash expenditures.

**Individuals Supported**
- Encourage individuals to communicate needs, choices, and preferences, and to support the use of inclusive and adaptive communication strategies.
- Support and participate in initial individual intake process as needed.
- Advocate and promote respectful treatment of individuals and defend individual rights, accounting for each individuals' unique personalities and challenges.
- Create Person Centered Plans and Risk Assessments for each supported individual with the input from guardians and all relevant stakeholders.
- Assists Behavior Consultant in developing an individual Health and Safety Plan and or Behavior Support Plan for each person supported when required.
