We are currently recruiting for a
**Canada Payroll Specialist** to join our HR team in Toronto, Canada The Payroll Specialist is responsible for working with HR team members to obtain timesheet records, processing payroll for a multi-site organization, maintaining and keeping accurate payroll records and assisting with the HRIS system maintenance and set-up.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and submit monthly, bi-weekly payroll, commissions, and off cycle payrolls for multi-state business units for review and processing.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues and concerns.
- Will complete timesheet administration, review and calculations
- Maintain and document payroll records per retention guidelines.
- Process Verification of Employment Garnishment processing and record keeping.
- Will assist in setting up and maintaining ADP HRIS system

Qualifications:

- Extensive working knowledge and experience of Canadian time keeping, and payroll processing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong mathematical skills and problem solving skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel, with strong working knowledge of formulas, lookups, comparing and analyzing data.
- HRIS maintenance experience and system implementation/optimization knowledge preferred.
- ADP Workforce Now experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with US timekeeping and payroll processes is highly desired.

**Education and Experience**:

- Associates degree is required.
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred in related field, but experience and/or other training/certification may be substituted for the education
- A minimum of five years’ experience in HR payroll administration.
