**Opportunity**:The Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine is seeking an Anesthesiologist with a strong interest in research, education, and/or quality improvement for full-time employment.

**Terms of Employment**:

- Income estimated at $450,000 to $500,000 as a full-time clinician taking full call, dependent on desired clinical setting (with additional opportunities to pick up extra work/call shifts amounting from $20,000 to $100,000). Renumeration is via group practice with hospital alternate funding plan.
- Permanent, Full-Time.
- Start date: Immediately.

**Job Duties**:

- Administering anesthesia to patients across different perioperative settings, considering their medical history, surgical procedure, and individual requirements.

**Skills Requirements**:
**Language**: English. Ability to communicate in a bilingual environment (French & English) is an asset but not a condition of employment.

**Education**:

- Graduation from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of residency training in anesthesiology.
- Holds or is eligible for FRCPC designation in anesthesiology or equivalent.
- Subspecialty Fellowship training is an asset but not required.
- Eligible for licensure by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.

**Additional requirements**:

- Competence in managing tertiary and quaternary care cases.
- Demonstrated experience in communicating effectively in an oral and written format with patients, public, colleagues and other health care workers.
- Meets criteria and receives an academic appointment (as Lecturer, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor) in the Department of Anesthesiology and PainMedicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Ottawa.
