The YMCA of Central East Ontario operates out of three major Health, Fitness and Recreation facilities as well

as approximately 20 community locations. Our team consists of more than 350 staff members and over 150

volunteers. We proudly serve Belleville, Peterborough, the City of Quinte West, and the surrounding areas in

Hastings County, Prince Edward County, and Peterborough County.

The Membership Sales & Service staff member must provide a high level of customer service to our members/program

participants and incoming callers/visitors. Also provides administrative support to the Manager of Membership and Youth

Programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Greet each member, participant, potential member, volunteer and staff with a welcoming attitude and smile.
- Create a memorable, positive experience for everyone visiting our facility
- Promote membership sales and service in a positive and professional manner
- Support and work as part of a team to ensure excellent service to both customers and fellow employees
- Be reliable and work scheduled shifts
- Volunteer coordinator for the branch
- MGS lead (Customer experience)
- Administrative tasks (managing financial assistance program, group memberships and other duties as assigned)
- Provide leadership and assist with supervision of the part time staff team
- Work with members and potential members to find out what they want, create solutions and ensure everyone

has a great service experience

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE POSITION:

- OSSD preferred.
- Excellent telephone skills and computer skills
- Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal skills with an outgoing personality
- Standard First Aid & CPR C
- Preference to those with experience working in a customer service atmosphere and those that thrive on change and

diversity

WORKING CONDITIONS:

- Requirement of Standard First and CPR
- Vulnerable Sector Check
