**Your Opportunity**:
The primary responsibilities of this position include:

- Safe operation of equipment and machinery, such as wide area mowers, Ventracs, tractors, which includes completing required safety checks to minimize risk, injury, and property damage.
- Conduct and document daily safety checks of assigned vehicle(s) and associated equipment by conducting pre-trip inspections such as checking fuel and oil levels, inspecting tires, lights, and brakes. Reporting all equipment defects to the Supervisor.
- Follow the preventative maintenance program for equipment and vehicles to maintain professional appearance.
- Operate grass cutting machinery including trimmers, blowers, push mowers
- Assist in landscaping tasks such as weeding, mulching, seeding, planting, watering
- As required, operate machinery to assist in the implementation of other property maintenance programs, including site cleanup (litter control, waste handling, etc.) and vehicle/equipment maintenance (cleaning, washing, etc.)
- Work in accordance with the Conservation Halton’s Safety Policies & Procedures and the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and all other related manuals.
- Other duties as assigned

**Your Qualifications**:

- Previous experience operating lawn and turf maintenance equipment (wide area mowers, ventracs, etc.) is an asset, however training will be provided
- Able to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- Able to lift up to 40 pounds, stand, and walk for long periods of time
- Previous experience operating a truck with trailer hooked up is an asset
- Able to wear personal protective equipment deemed necessary to perform this job safely (gloves, ear protection, safety glasses, etc.)
- Able to travel to a site not serviced by public transportation
- A valid Ontario Drivers Licence, minimum Class “G”, with a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract is required. _*Abstract completed by Conservation Halton_.

- Part time and full-time hours available; hours may vary depending on availability and weather conditions
- Hours are Monday to Sunday with varying start times between 6:00am - 4:00pm
