.**What will you do at Ciena?**

We’re looking for a highly motivated individual who will contribute to the business success of Ciena’s Manage, Control and Plan (MCP) domain control platform. This critical PLM role will take the vision and execution of Ciena’s hardware IP solutions and Adaptive IP Applications to the next level by integrating off box control solutions with our hardware portfolio to deliver industry leading solution simplicity. This is a global role and the scope of the decisions made will impact major service providers in all parts of the world.

**Responsibilities**

This role is responsible for ensuring Ciena delivers a clear vision for:

- The integration of Adaptive IP Applications with existing L3 functionality in the MCP platform
- Alignment of tools strategy across SAOS NE and MCP
- Leading a virtual team across SE&I and GCC to deliver industry leading usability across provisioning, maintenance, and operational workflows for IP networks
- Align segment (e.g., 5G) strategy with end-to-end product deliverables
- Strong working knowledge of IP Protocols
- Experience with SW/Applications in managing/operating/troubleshooting IP networks
- Ability to interact with customers and explain technical issues clearly and concisely

Specific responsibilities include:

- Understand the CIENA business objectives and overall portfolio product direction to ensure we provide the right operational solutions against our customers’ strategic objectives.
- Understand the Agile development model and the MCP implementation of that model to ensure continued innovation in business processes.
- Maintain product and process discipline by driving key deliverables and dates with both R&D and PLM teams.
- Develop and clearly articulate product strategies and associated value propositions both internally and externally.
