Morrison Hershfield's Transit Group provides planning, design and construction administration services for bus rapid transit, light rail transit, commuter rail, subway, stations, maintenance facilities and state of good repair projects. We are currently seeking an experienced Scheduler to complement our transit team in the GTHA. The Scheduler will play a lead role in the delivery of large multi-year projects for clients. Assignments may include the requirement to work from the client’s premises in the GTHA.

**Responsibilities**:
- Develop construction schedules for assigned projects using P6- Review schedules submitted by contractors and vendors to ensure that logical sequence is used, no open-ended activities, linkages are correct and reflect targets;- Ensure that the construction schedule is updated regularly with progress achieved and make changes to the sequence and duration of activities where
- appropriate- Identify divergences from the project plan as established in the baseline schedule to the project team- Identify strategies for catching up lost time or avoiding potential delays and opportunities to accelerate the completion of the work- Run resource curves, critical path analysis, EV, SPI- Identify potential issues regarding project interfaces, delays or other issues that will impact program deliverables

Qualifications:
- Minimum ten (10) years of experience in a similar role- Post Secondary education in engineering or a related discipline- Proficient knowledge and experienced in use of Primavera P6 software- Prior experience on rail and transit project- Can supervise teams of professionals on projects- Performs complex tasks independently- Excellent communication skills- Formal training/certification in project management is considered a definite asset- Comprehensive knowledge of practices and procedures involved in the scheduling function, with proven experience in the construction process and technology- Hands-on experience in planning and preparing logic diagrams, critical path networks and bar charts, with particular emphasis on detailed construction schedules- Sound understanding of basic engineering and construction methodologies; ability to read construction drawings and specifications
