We are currently recruiting for:
**Community Residential Support Workers (Casual)**
- **_Once hired, casual employees are able to compete for available permanent part-time and full-time positions, which offer union membership, health and dental benefits, and group RRSP._
**Location: Halifax, NS**
Reporting to a House Supervisor, you will be responsible for supporting adults with intellectual disabilities in their day-to-day lives. Areas of support may include community access, recreation and leisure, household management, life skills, personal care, and medication administration. RRSS is a dynamic and rewarding work environment where creativity and an individualized approach are encouraged to meet the needs and goals of each person you support.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Grade 12. Experience in Human Service field considered an asset.
- Previous work or volunteer experience supporting adults with intellectual disabilities.
- Commitment to social inclusion and inclusive community living.
- Effective professional communication skills and an ability to liaise with key partners including families, professionals, and other agencies.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast paced environment.
- Strong organization and record keeping skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively within a team.
- Values and skills compatible with the type and level of support required.
**OTHER REQUIREMENTS**:
**Successful applicants must be available to regularly work a variety of shifts including evening, overnight awake, and weekend shifts.**
