Position Overview
- The Vice President, Operations is a key member of Brink’s Canada Sr. leadership team and will play a pivotal role in sustaining the company’s position in the market as well as developing and executing growth and expansion plans. The VP Ops has full P & L responsibility and overall direction of the assigned geographic market. In addition to the deployment and design they will lead their teams to set clear objectives and measures of success and to report success and KPIs in Canada and Globally.

**Responsibilities**:
- Understand the competitive Canadian landscape to enable the development of and implementation of a field operational strategy which will help the Company meet its overall business plans and objectives. Is forward looking and plans for being able to deliver the next generation of Brink’s products and services.-
- Keenly involved in championing change and looking forward to the next generation of products and services. Leads transformation culture, business and customer change.-
- Assist in developing and implementing scorecard metrics for the assigned region which optimize operational capabilities with growth plans and improve margins and other key performance indicators.-
- Advocate safety and programs which all employees to get home safely every day.-
- Ensure operational procedures that are designed to improve operational performance relative to quality, cost and customer service and are compliant.-
- Participate in business development activities in the field and participate in developing and maintaining strategic relationships with key stakeholders.-
- Develop a high performing team. Provide leadership to cross-functional work group to ensure teamwork, inclusion and implementation of best practices. Provide opportunities for employee development to make sure the region has the skill sets necessary to success in future operational models.- **Qualifications**:
- Previous Senior Leadership experience at the national level, in related industry experience, including knowledge of Canadian geography and network design-
- Experience leading transformative change including building a high performing team, automation and standardization and transformation of financial operating model-
- Familiar with route optimization programs and concepts, including industry best practices-
- Working knowledge of Lean/Process Improvement methodologies.-
- Requires deep operations experience, including management responsibility in multiple operating areas.-
- Should have experience in budgeting, transportation, trend and financial analysis.-
- Superior people management and development capabilities. Able to establish open door communication with front line ensuring an ongoing presence. Past experience within a unionized work environment.
