Interior Health is hiring a Student, Project Work Support to join the Strategic Initiatives, Clinical Operations department. This position is based out of Kelowna. This position is for approximately four months.

**What will you work on?**

In accordance with the established vision and values of the organization, the student position in the Clinical Operations South portfolio will support various projects and tasks which may include:

- Looking at ways to increase safe patient handling techniques in the acute care environment.
- Developing and conducting surveys to understand and support increased engagement in Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committees.
- Collecting data related to home support services in order to reduce client cancellations and no shows.
- Supporting capital projects, including maintaining project log and timeline for projects within the acute care environment.
- Supporting the Sharepoint migration to Teamsite.
- Developing standard work documents for a variety of tasks and positions.
- Developing a process to reconcile schedules against invoices received.
- Developing an inventory of primary care contracts, including a gap analysis of primary care services in rural areas.

These projects will require working within a team as well as independently. While you will be reporting to the Director, Strategic Initiatives you will also work with a wide variety of Operational leaders within the Clinical Operations South Portfolio.

**Typical Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Assist with developing project plans, objectives, and implementation.
- Assisting with data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
- Assist in the preparation of action plans, including identifying resource requirements and timeframes.
- Provide input to new processes, and for the development of strategies.
- Develop, update, and analyze information.
- Prepare presentations and reports.
- Performs other related duties as required.

Education, Training and Experience:

- Enrolled in a post-secondary program in Business/Commerce, Arts, Information Technology, or Human Kinetics, preferably 3rd or 4th year student.

Skills and Abilities:

- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work effectively remotely/virtually with Teams.
- Ability to work with colleagues effectively.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work.
- Strong computer skills: Ability to use Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to quickly learn computer programs and systems.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
