**Accounting Assistant (Job ref# TH20230403)**

We are a privately held company with multiple franchise store locations looking for an Accounting Assistant to join our team. If you have excellent experience and strong accounting, administrative skills and knowledge, and are interested in a full time, but flexible position, then this may be the job for you.

This position is temporary remote due to COVID-19 work from home policy.

Responsibilities & Duties
- Full cycle Accounts Payable for multiple store locations, including invoice approval verification/coding/processing payments, and following up with vendors concerning outstanding invoices.
- Record sales transactions into proper accounting period. Sort weekly packages, review payouts and inventory, and verify store deposits.
- Manage bank reconciliations and government remittances.
- Administer payroll and benefits.
- Assisting cash flow updates.
- Prepare year end documents for the company Accountant.
- Update reports and information required by managements.
- Coordinate with third parties, fill forms, provide letters and documents as required.
- Conduct general office administration.
- Additional tasks may be assigned as required.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements
- Accounting diploma or certificate required
- 1-2 years accounting and payroll experience required
- Experience with QuickBooks Online is an asset
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office Excel and Word skills
- Detail oriented with strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional attitude and works well in a team environment
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills

**Salary**: $40,000.00 per year
