Assistant, Neurodiagnostic and Laboratory

As the **Assistant, Neurodiagnostic and Laboratory**, you are responsible for a broad scope of activities related to the accreditation of diagnostic and treatment facilities. You will work independently to gather and analyze information from and communicate with key stakeholders.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- ** Gathering and analyzing a broad spectrum of information relating to the requirements and internal procedures of facility/service accreditation**:
- Initiating and tracking activities/steps relating to accreditation assessments.
- Preparing and sending correspondence pre
- and post-accreditation reviews specifically relating to the facility undergoing assessment.
- Liaising with facility staff, medical directors, and assessors to provide information and instruction on accreditation/approval requirements and processes, both verbally and through correspondence.
- Reviewing and editing of incoming assessment reports prior to passing them forward to Program Manager.
- Creating and maintaining facility files, including changes to existing facilities and liaising with Alberta Health advising of changes.
- Maintaining standards and accreditation documents and communicate changes to all stakeholders and CPSA Communications for web updates.

Organizes all aspects of Advisory Committee meetings in conjunction with the Program Manager**:
- Preparing and distributing detailed and extensive agendas and meeting dossiers.
- Maintenance and development of Sharepoint Committee sites including working directly with committee members to ensure access and comfort with the site.
- Taking and preparing formal detailed minutes of lengthy committee meetings, and distribution of documents both electronically and in hard copy.
- Independently performing all aspects of Committee meeting set up, including organizing catered meals, setting up telephone conferences.

Ensures the College database and assessment tracking system is kept current and reflects accurate information**:
- Entering facility and physician biographical information; scope; multiple people, contact information; accreditation status.
- Analyzing and amending physician and facility information upon receipt of change notification.
- **
Reconciling and processing Assessor and Physician honoraria and expense claims.**
- Performing financial transactions including issuing invoices and collecting payment for the following: annual facility fees, assessment fees, registration fees for new facilities.
- **
Provides administrative assistance for communication and education initiatives including**:
- Organizing and set-up of annual symposia.
- Reviewing and updating web page information.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Education**:
- Formalized specialized skills typically obtained through a one-year post-secondary certificate (e.g. administrative program), or equivalent.
**Experience**:
- Requirement for 3 to 5 years of related experience.
**Skills**:
- Highly proficient with MS Office and Adobe products.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with general medical terminology and healthcare services.
- Self-directed - must perform independently with mínimal direction.
**SALARY**
The salary for this position is $67,809 annually and includes a comprehensive benefit package and pension plan.
