About the job:

- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly.
- Provide product recommendations and information about store promotions.
- Operate copy, print, and scanning equipment efficiently.
- Assist customers with printing and copying needs, including document preparation and finishing services (binding, laminating, etc.).
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of printed materials.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment issues.
- Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system.
- Manage cash register and ensure accurate cash handling.
- Restock shelves, organize merchandise, and maintain a clean store environment.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with inventory audits.
- Maintain records of daily transactions and sales.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including balancing the cash register.
- Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth store operations.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
- Support colleagues with tasks as needed.

Work Environment:

- Retail store setting with regular interaction with customers.
- Use of printing and copying equipment in a dedicated area.

About you:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred.
- Proficiency with office equipment (e.g., photocopiers, printers, scanners).
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to multitask and handle a fast-paced work environment.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds.
- Manual dexterity for handling equipment and merchandise.

Pay: $17.40 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Smithers, BC V0J 2N0: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (required)

**Experience**:

- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: In person
