**Job Summary**

Are you seeking a rewarding opportunity with potential to grow? Hindley Scanning & Coring is currently recruiting for a Core Drill operator to join its team. Drilling can be a tough and physically demanding position, and we are looking for someone willing to work hard and collect a great paycheck.

**Responsibilities and Duties**

The following are a general list of duties and responsibilities that may be adjusted from time to time by your supervisor. The Driller will be responsible for the following duties including:

- Safety is paramount in this business hence all policies, procedures, best practices and the LAW must be always adhered to.
- Perform drilling operations: Mobilise, position, and operate the drill to ensure completion of projects.
- Carry out basic operator maintenance of equipment, tools and materials.
- Load equipment, tools and materials and transport to and from job site.
- Transport equipment and tools to drilling sites and following rules and regulations as outline by WorkSafe BC.
- Maintain accurate operating records including daily drill reports/ work orders.
- For more skilled applicants, provide training through instruction and demonstration of work skills, coaching and mentoring to other field employees.

**Qualifications and Skills**

Qualified individuals must have:

- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid drivers license in good standing.
- Sufficient language skills, literacy and numeracy skills to perform all job-related tasks.
- WHMIS certification. Online training is acceptable.
- Experience or exposure to concrete related industries is a strong asset
- Labour background considered an asset.

**Benefits**

Pay rate starts at $25/hr and up to $35/hr for full scope operating mastery.

Possible long-term opportunity for oversight positions.

- Monday to Friday, some Saturdays

Ability to commute/relocate:

- White Rock, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- drilling: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- WHMIS Certification (preferred)
- Driving Licence (required)
