Job Summary: We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Assistant Dispatcher to join our team. As an Assistant Dispatcher, your primary responsibility will be to support the efficient operation of our delivery services by assisting drivers with route planning, coordinating order pickups, and ensuring accurate order fulfillment. Your role will be crucial in maintaining smooth communication between drivers, pickers, warehouse and sales staff

**Responsibilities**:

- Route Planning Assistance:

- Collaborate with drivers to help plan efficient delivery routes.
- Consider factors such as traffic, delivery time windows, and special instructions.
- Utilize mapping and navigation tools to optimize routes and minimize delays.

Coordination with Pickers:

- Communicate with pickers to prioritize orders for efficient fulfillment.
- Provide clear instructions on which orders to pick first based on delivery schedules and special requirements.
- Ensure pickers are aware of any special promotions or discounts to apply.

Warehouse Communication:

- Maintain constant communication with the warehouse team.
- Assist drivers by checking off specials and verifying order accuracy before departure.
- Relay any updates or changes to the drivers promptly.

Order Verification:

- Cross-check orders with delivery manifests to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Address any discrepancies or missing items with the warehouse or appropriate personnel.
- Maintain accurate records of order fulfillment and resolve any issues that arise.

Collaborate with the dispatch team to maintain efficient operations and resolve any challenges.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in logistics, dispatching, or a related field (assistant dispatching experience preferred).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in using mapping/navigation tools and software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
