**What will you do**

Your primary focus is to maintain all Manufacturing Equipment, perform Reparation, daily support of all processes. You will lead in depth troubleshooting with Technicians and operators. Through your participation in improvement and maintenance projects you will Liaison with Engineering and other support groups. Assist in the technical training of all manufacturing personnel. All duties are performed in compliance with Company safety and hygiene requirements, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

**Responsibilities**:
**1. Health & Safety**
- Operates in, and assure team members and contractors operate in, compliance with all company safety policies and practices including all protective equipment
- Understands and adheres to all health and safety aspects S.O.P.’s
- Identifies and reports unsafe conditions / near misses and accidents in a timely fashion
- Responsible for ensuring that equipment is maintained for safe operation.
- Verifies that guarding is in place, interlocks are in working condition always and applies lock out procedures to equipment during repair
- Instructs others in safe operation of equipment as required
- Successful completion of WHMIS, Healthy Back, Safety Orientation, Ergonomics and Safety training programs.
- Escorts and ensures that outside service personnel assigned to their area comply with company safety and GMP requirements
- Additional Requirements to be performed on a routine and regular basis
- Identification and elimination of near misses

**2. Leadership**:

- Identifies opportunities for improvement.
- Works independently under the guidance of the Maintenance Planner or Reliability Engineer.
- Resolves conflicts positively.
- Exhibits a mature and cooperative attitude to promote an atmosphere of sensitivity and good communication and teamwork both within the department and with other departments.
- Initiates recommendations but may require guidance in execution
- Train team members for cross functionality.
- Interactions with other departments/suppliers
- Makes independent judgments/recommendations relating to resources requiring little guidance in execution
- Takes initiative to assist others readily and frequently
- Supports and executes department/team goal setting
- Interdependent partnering to achieve department objectives and improvements
- Performs other duties as requested by Company Management or Maintenance Manager
- Adhering to strict compliance with procedures applicable to the role.
- Exercising the highest level of integrity in the tasks performed.
- In a timely and prompt manner, identifying, reporting and seeking correction for deviations noted in the workplace.
- Embracing a behaviour of employee involvement and commitment to doing the job right the first time.

**3. Team Building**:

- Communicates daily issues and activities between team members and stakeholders
- Works with operations to ensure equipment is functioning correctly
- Demonstrates and promotes cooperation with others, atmosphere of trust, encouragement and support of others
- Identifies training and development requirements for itself.
- Communicates whereabouts to team to ensure ease of contacting if issues arise.
- Support instructing, guiding and directing the activities of new and existing technicians within the team. This includes assigning tasks and the monitoring of individual task performance.
- Actively participate in Company training programs
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Has the respect of fellow team members

**4. Material Handling**:

- Normal Maintenance activities require some movement of or lifting of heavy items of equipment and use of material handling, e.g. pump truck, walker/stacker or fork truck.
- Operates all material handling equipment following proper procedures and safe operating requirements.
- Valid walkie stacker/electric pump truck license.
- Adherence to the elevator procedure.

**5. Administration**:

- Understands and adheres to company policies, GMP’s, SOP’s, Change Controls, Incident Data base, equipment maintenance forms, Maximo
