The Institutional Strategic Awards (ISA) team - a core part of Research Operations - focuses on supporting SFU’s largest research funding proposals, award nominations, and projects.

The ISA is comprised of teams of highly specialized research development professionals who provide central support for research development, recognition, and management activities. As a key member of the Research Development team, the Coordinator, Research Chairs’ level of involvement can range from coordinating day-to-day activities of high priority Research Chairs in the delivery of their research programs to supporting governance committees, project managers and research teams.

Together with your ISA colleagues, you will play an essential role in supporting priority projects and initiatives at SFU. You will bring superior organizational skills to build institutional capacity, increase research income and raise the profile of SFU research. You will provide comprehensive project coordination to cutting edge research programs and engage with faculty members, colleagues across SFU, investigators, university administrators and others, to ensure alignment with agency guidelines, institutional priorities and policies. You will support activities that advance the objectives of SFU's Strategic Research Plan.
