**We are currently seeking one full-time contract Health Information - Records Management Assistant as part of the Canada Summer Jobs program**

This role is a part of the Canada Summer Jobs initiative to support youth in obtaining quality temporary work experiences. As a Health Information - Records Management Assistant, you will report to the Director, Clinical Support Services and work side-by-side with the Records Management team to maintain our records database (CRMS). You’ll perform a variety of important tasks that make each day new and exciting, and you’ll belong to a team that supports and respects each other as we work together to make a difference within the organization.

**Status**: 8 week contract (anticipated contract dates will fall between June 10, 2024 and August 30, 2024); 30 hours a week in office.

**Hourly Rate**: $17.55

**Location**:This position is based out of our 314 - 7700 Hurontario Street, Brampton office.**

**What You Will Do**:

- Store, review, and dispose client records as per documentation and privacy standards
- Scan and upload historical paper client files to Client Record Management System (CRMS)
- Maintain confidentiality
- General administrative duties

**What You Need to Join Our Team**:
Participants of Canada Summer Job roles **must **meet the following requirements:

- Must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment
- Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment
- Must have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
- Must be able to work all 8 weeks consecutively

**Additional Qualifications**:

- Currently enrolled in or a graduate of a post-secondary program in Health Administration
- Knowledge and understanding of administrative duties
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to approach, listen, build trust, and communicate across diverse cultures and intersectionality. Willingness to continually improve understanding around cultural competence.
- Openness to operate from an anti-racist, anti-oppressive, 2SLGBTQ+ affirming and intersectional framework
- Fluency in a second language, including ASL (American Sign Language) is considered an asset.
- Ability to work independently in a multi-task environment and to prioritize tasks in a manner that meets staff needs and program objectives
- Proof of administered full-series Health Canada approved COVID-19 vaccination prior to start date. If unable to be vaccinated for reasons relating to protected grounds under the Code, completed medical or religious exemption must be provided.
- A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Screening (Police Check) report
