**Job Description**:
Z-Modular, a division of Zekelman Industries, seeks a **Production Leader** for our location in Kitchener, ON. Reporting to the Construction Manager, this position will oversee activities within the Offline Department.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Oversee operation of various functions within the Offline Department.
- Supervise staff, including delegating tasks, reporting absence, providing performance feedback to the Construction Manager, and other duties as required.
- Set an example for all employees by working in a safe manner, abiding by all Company and Health and Safety policies and procedures, and using all assigned PPE.
- Monitor the safety of team members and colleagues and report concerns to the Construction Manager and/or Health and Safety Manager.
- Report major problems or concerns with processes, employees, or equipment within the Offline Department to the Construction Manager.
- Provide encouragement to team members, including communicating team goals and identifying areas for new training and/or process improvement.
- Perform periodic quality inspection on product leaving the designated area.
- Assist management with hiring processes and new team member training.
- Perform basic troubleshooting on issues, escalating to the Construction Manager if a resolution is not reached within 10 minutes of down time.
- Communicate deadlines to team members and provide hands-on support when there are production delays.
- Provide courteous customer service to internal staff requesting services from all the team members.
- Work closely with employees to ensure the Offline Team is meeting production goals.
- Other duties as assigned.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in a construction or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, specifications, etc.
- Knowledge and usage of measuring and testing devices, hand, and power tools.
- Basic math abilities.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Strong problem solving, communication and organizational skills.
- Uncompromising commitment to safety.
- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with others.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this role.
- Lead and promote health and safety work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policy.

**PHYSICAL ABILITIES**:

- Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for several hours.
- Ability to lift, climb, bend, stoop, push and pull.
- Must be able to lift 60lbs.
- Must be able to stand for 10-12 hours.
- Ability to perform work in a plant/manufacturing environment.
- Other physical requirements as needed for job.
