**About the Role**

The Auditor, Internal Audit (“IA") reports directly to the Senior Vice President, IA on Maples and Calder and MaplesFS Internal Audit matters.

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

- Examining and assessing Cayman Islands anti-money laundering ("AML") policies and procedures including underlying client/related party due diligence (the "Procedures")
- Based on a sample selection, verifying that proper approvals are in place, Client Due Diligence ("CDD") approval methods are accurate, supporting CDD documentation is maintained as per the Procedures, Enhanced Due Diligence (“EDD”) is conducted for high-risk triggers and risk reviews are conducted in a timely manner.
- Completing audit fieldwork including testing key controls and providing results to the Senior Vice President, IA and Head of IA;
- Identifying and reporting breaches of the Procedures;
- Drafting reports at the end of each audit describing areas which are working satisfactorily, any findings and potential recommendations;
- Monitoring open audit observations;
- Assisting with the audit delivery process by the IA team;
- Performing regular follow-up audits on non-compliant areas;
- Sharing knowledge and experience with the IA team as issues are raised during the review of the Procedures;
- Independent file reviews dealing specifically with control breaches and recommendations for improvement; and
- Any other IA related duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- University degree is required
- At least 1 year of office experience.
- Knowledge of the Cayman AML regulations (would be an asset).
- Willing to study for a professional qualification in Internal Audit
- Be comfortable working with time constraints and deadlines.
- Be able to work with mínimal supervision.
- Be an effective communicator and confident in client interaction.
- Well organised.
- Bright, enthusiastic and quick learner.
- Proactive and solutions driven.
- Strong team player.
