Auto Body Shop Operations Manager

We are seeking a hard-working, personable, and responsible person to join our team.
Must have 5+ years of experience in the auto body repair and auto insurance industry.
The rate of pay: $25 - $30 based on experience
Shift Available:
Monday to Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm must be flexible to work weekends when needed 7:00am
- 11am.
As an Operations Manager, you will be creating estimates for repairs, communicating directly with customers and managing their needs/expectations, as well as supporting the staff.
- Directs and schedules the work of all body shop employees.
- Establishes and maintains good working relationships with insurance adjusters.
- Establishes and maintains good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business
- Gives fair estimates on costs and time required for bodywork.
- Follows up on parts department orders to ensure parts availability.
- Monitors progress and completion of vehicles in the shop, ensuring that proper repair and safety procedures are followed
- Examines the damaged vehicles to determine the extent of structural, body, mechanical, or interior damage.
- Estimates the cost of labor and parts to repair or replace each damaged item. Prepares insurance forms to indicate repair cost estimates and recommendations
**Requirements**:
- Must have minimum of 3+ years of supervisory/management experience in Auto Body Shop.
- Must 5+ years of experience in a Body Shop Service Department
- Must have Auto Insurance Claims experience knowledge
- Working knowledge of industry standards and practices, including product details and company services offered
- A valid G Class driver's license and a safe driving history
- Ability to train, coach, direct, and encourage technicians, advisors, and a team of apprentices and mechanics
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Experience in Estimating the cost of labor and parts to repair or replace each damaged item.
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Weekends as needed
**Experience**:
- Auto body repair: 5 years (required)
- Operations management: 4 years (required)
License/Certification:
- G Class drivers license (required)
Work Location: In person
