Manual Machinist

Tizzco's Riverside machining and welding is looking for a manual machinist to work in Athabasca, Alberta.

Shift: 7/7, 10 hour days with overtime after 8 hours daily.

**Responsibilities**:

- Set up and operate manual machines such as lathes, mills, and grinders
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations
- Use precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges and micrometers to ensure accuracy of finished parts
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment
- Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot and resolve production issues
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

**Experience**:

- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a manual machinist
- Proficient in the use of power tools and hand tools
- Familiarity with Fanuc controls is a plus
- Experience with welding
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is beneficial
- Ability to operate a forklift is a plus
- Familiarity with coordinate measuring machines (CMM) is an advantage
