Training and Wellness Coordinator

**Job Description**:
**POSITION PURPOSE**
Reporting to the Manager, Wellness and Benefits and the Lead, Health and Safety, is responsible for providing coordination and technical support to Wellness and Safety training programs and curriculum, including scheduling, coordinating and evaluating courses; administering and managing training databases including the Learning Management System (LMS); liaising with facilitators and participants; compiling statistical data and generating reports; and providing logístical support to ensure course and programing success. The training and wellness program coordinator is also responsible for Safety and Wellness support functions including administration and technical support of the program and programs (s) associated systems (i.e. Stantec, HRIS, Wellness Platform, etc.) and specialized work to support program/project deliverables and/or meet legislative requirements.
**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Communicates and collaborates with all Departments and external partners/vendors to ensure the successful completion, coordination and promotion of wellness and health and safety trainings, programs and initiatives.
- Reviews and summarizes course/program evaluations; reports all concerns/suggestions to the Manager and sends summaries to the Manager and facilitators.
- Responds to all initial inquiries related to wellness and health and safety training; orders and arranges for payment of resources as well as training/reference materials and supplies.
- Prepares mandatory training reports and other safety related reports to ensure compliance with legislative requirement and/or MLTSD direction
- Researches, analyzes, compiles and maintains data; prepares reports and makes appropriate recommendations to management for future planning.
- Assists in the development of communications tools for the implementation and rollout of training and wellness programs.
- Posts information on Wellness and Health & Safety portal pages and updates accordingly.
- Prepares and distributes agendas and minutes for team meetings, Corporate Health and Safety Advisory Committee (CHASAC) meetings, Wellness Committee meetings and other ad hoc meetings, as required.
- Provides information to support the development of financial plans and budget projections for the delivery of the wellness and health and safety programs, and monitors and tracks expenditures.
- Ensures that all wellness and health and safety inquiries are responded to in a timely manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned, in accordance with Branch and Department objectives.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Successful completion of a Community College Diploma in Business Administration or related field or approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum three (3) years administrative/secretarial experience in a computerized/automated office environment, preferably providing client services in Human Resource Services in a unionized environment.
- Demonstrated support experience in a training or coordination function.
