**THE OPPORTUNITY**

The Systems Administrator III position is on the enterprise Data Center Services (DCS) team within the OCIO and reports to the Manager, DCS. The successful applicant will be responsible for the support of core enterprise systems and services to meet the business needs of the University. Responsibilities include provisioning and administering primarily Linux but also Microsoft Windows physical and virtual servers. Duties include administration of resources; deployment and management; management of SAN storage and fibre channel; systems programming; monitoring the use of resources; automating procedures; troubleshooting system failures and user errors; providing documentation and technical assistance on a University-wide basis; participating in systems architecting and planning; and performing other related duties as required by operations and project related work.

**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE**

Experience (3-5 years) in systems administration of Linux servers with knowledge of VMware, RHEL and Red Hat Satellite, and Microsoft Windows Server; graduation from a four-year college or university with major course work in Computer Science; or any equivalent combination of experience and training. Analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills; effective communication (written, verbal, and listening); and relationship building skills are essential. Experience with High Performance Computing environments and Research Computing environments, identity management technologies (LDAP, Active Directory) would also be a significant asset as would any experience in SAN infrastructure, Fibre Channel management, or Cisco UCS management.

**SALARY **$58,618 - $66,220 per annum (Non-Bargaining)
