Apprentice Sprinkler Fitter

As an Apprentice Sprinkler Fitter, they will be responsible for assisting in a wide variety of in-field fire services such as installing, inspecting, maintaining, modifying, and servicing fire protection equipment and fire sprinkler systems. Some of the additional expectations of this role include:
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, specifications, schematics, and operational/product manuals;
- Inspecting fire alarms and extinguishers;
- Working with Journeypersons and other team members to evaluate plans, customer requests, code, and non-conformance issues and to assist in determining specific solutions and recommendations for customers and management;
- Preparing stock materials for daily execution of assigned work orders and optimizing material utilization;
- Completing daily reports of completed work orders and activities;
- Ensuring safe work practices are followed safety leadership is demonstrated in all aspects of the job; and
- Participating in 24/7 on-call/call out emergency service.
A Sprinkler Fitter Apprentice with their 2nd or 3rd year ticket and experience in an industrial or fire protection setting would be preferred. Combinations of education in a related field and experience will be considered.
