We are actively recruiting for an Casualty Claims Specialist to handle Personal/Commercial Auto and Commercial General Liability Casualty claims.

The primary role in Casualty Claims is to investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle Auto BI and CGL claims in accordance with Aviva's procedures and philosophy.

What you'll do:
- Interpret and confirm insurance coverage using background knowledge of relevant case law combined with a thorough understanding of policy wordings- Investigate, evaluate and settle Personal/Commercial Auto and Commercial General Liability Casualty claims with claimants or their representatives- Ensure file reserves are set on a timely and accurate basis, in line with company protocols- Maintain control over expenses through pro-active handling techniques- Provide excellent customer and stakeholder communication on claim matters- Clearly document and summarize file activity- Understand and adhere to Aviva’s claim procedures and guidelines- Provide superior customer service to our clients and stakeholders

What you'll bring:
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment- Strong working knowledge of Personal and Commercial liability claims- Excellent written and oral communication skills- Well-developed organizational skills- Adaptability, flexibility, willingness to learn and integrity- Committed team player with a positive outlook- Some experience handling casualty claims- Post-Secondary education in a related field- CIP designation would be an asset
