**Summary**

The Service, Maintenance & Warranty Project Manager is responsible for delivering corporate projects on time, within budget, and in accordance to specifications under the direction of VP-Project Execution for TechCanada. Our successful Project Manager position requires a dynamic and experienced Journeyman with previous project management and estimating experience. This position is responsible for managing contract execution with the client by planning, monitoring, controlling, reporting and administering the project, and as such will help develop and assist in executing project cost strategies. Responsibilities include preparing and managing RFQ’s, preparing bids, preparation of tender submissions, pre-construction conceptual estimates, material procurement and assist project scheduling. As a member of the Project Team you will work closely with Project Managers, Site Superintendents and Supervisors to ensure project plan administration supports the execution of field operations.

**Job Duties**
- Lead Service, Maintenance & Warranty projects, including liaison with Clients, Architects, Consulting Engineers and Subcontractors
- Ensure that all drawings and specifications are approved, controlled and available to appropriate personnel
- Provide the Materials Coordinator with detailed specifications so that adequate information is communicated to vendors on purchase orders to ensure compliance with the project requirements
- Set clear goals and expectations as well as provide mentoring and coaching for the foreman, superintendent, and site supervisors
- Work with the client to resolve any concerns and build good working relations
- Manage all job closeout procedures
- Conduct post project reviews to determine areas for future improvements
- Assist with preparation and execution of overall work plan and schedule.
- Ability to facilitate permits and inspection schedules
- Develop Inspection and Test Plans.
- Review and process shop drawings
- Prepare cost estimates for change order and audit purposes
- Price site instructions, work orders and change notices
- Provide document turnover to client at completion of project
- Resolve deficiencies in a timely manner
- Provide other technical office support as required by Production staff
- Assist with maintenance of project files and preparation of reports
- Attend job site subcontractor and safety meetings
- Drawing take offs and labour estimates
- Performing necessary wire and load calculations to conform to code
- Tender package review and submittal
- Working with parts vendors - pricing, and procurement
- Review specifications to prepare and/or coordinate the pricing of tender work
- Define materials, labor and equipment cost estimations necessary to successfully carry out a project according to proposals, plans, estimates and specifications
- Prepare estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work
- Review all final estimate packages to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Communicate all successful tender information to operations team and set delivery plan
- Provide technical assistance as required
- Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction

**Requirements**:

- Residential, Commercial and Industrial facility construction and maintenance experience
- Must be able to read and interpret contracts, blueprints, shop drawings and understand the scope of work and project specifications
- Ability to learn quickly, be flexible and adaptable
- Strong organizational abilities and demonstrated attention to detail
- Strong time management skills, specifically the ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Able to work independently and in team settings
- Knowledge of the data/communication industry an asset
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Capable of participating in and facilitating group meetings
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Thorough record-keeping skills
- Capable of working independently with mínimal direction

**Qualifications**
- Journeyman certificate
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate would be an asset
- 5 - 10 years experience as an electrical foreman mandatory
- 5 - 10 years experience in electrical engineering or related fields an asset
- 5 - 10 years experience in estimating electrical / mechanical projects an asset
- Technical knowledge of electrical / mechanical construction and engineering
- Extensive knowledge of industry products, practices and standards
- Current knowledge of electrical / mechanical, building and municipal codes and regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
