Responsible for the successful implementation of new Alteryx workflows competency with proper controls, this role partners with the broad ESS team to ensure that future Finance skills are leveraged to ensure strategic objectives achieve the intended outcomes. The incumbent will oversee the execution and governance of all Alteryx workflows throughout the ESS, ensuring adherence to Manulife standards and best-practices, including documentation, support, risk assessment, audits, and ongoing education to the broader team. As a key participant in Finance Transformation, this role will be a pivotal leader who supports the evaluation and development of new Alteryx workflow opportunities. It will also work in close collaboration with the Alteryx COE, ensuring the team remains up to date with standards and controls in use for Alteryx across Manulife Finance teams.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Maintain governing procedures and library for all Alteryx workflow processes used in ESS production activities
- Serve as consultant for design questions within ESS
- Demonstrate a strong technical understanding of the accounting for expenses including company policies and sufficient business knowledge to be able to verify and analyze information under reviewEnsure adoption of best practice policies, consistent with guidelines established by Alteryx COE
- Act as key partner and relationship manager with Alteryx COE
- Provide training and promote use of best practices and common design patterns
- Manage quality control for end user developed Alteryx workflows, ensuring compliance with global standards and to minimize the occurrence of errors
- Implement a backup strategy to reduce reliance on individual team members
- Partner with the COE in supporting centralized development of global Alteryx workflows
- Develop reusable workflow patterns and shared macros for community to use
- Identify and evaluate finance processes that can be automated through Alteryx to streamline business processes in a scalable and sustainable manner

**What we are looking for**
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum of 5 years in a finance or accounting role, ideally with experience on projects, transformation, and process improvement
- Deep knowledge of finance processes and systems
- Analytical skills with the ability to design, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amount of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience on Alteryx workflow development and analysis techniques
- Experience with drafting business requirements documentations and ability to communicate design and requirements of complex business solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Motivated self-starter, with ability to multi-task and manage priorities effectively
- A team player able to react positively to changing priorities
- Must be well-organized, innovative, and possess a high level of initiative
