In line with our commitment to addressing violence on campus and enhancing support for our diverse student body, we are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Sexual Violence Prevention and Outreach Coordinator.

**Position Overview**:
Reporting to the Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Advocate (SVPRA) and the Director of Health, Counselling, and Accessible Learning, the Sexual Violence Prevention and Outreach Coordinator (SVPOC) will play a crucial role in assisting to coordinate, implement, and evaluate sexual violence prevention education programs for students. They will also assist the SVPRA in expanding outreach services to our residences, and will support delivery of athletics-specific sexual violence prevention programming. This position is a term pilot initiative for the 2023-24 academic year, with potential for extension based on program effectiveness.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in delivery of sexual violence prevention programs to athletes, coaches, and staff within the Athletics Department.
- Program Evaluation: Develop and implement a pre-/post-test approach to evaluate the effectiveness of educational offerings, contributing to our ongoing improvement.
- Prevention Education Tools: Collaborate with the SVPRA in reviewing and editing prevention education tools annually.
- Support for Peer-Educators: Create opportunities for professional development, enhancing consistency in program facilitation.
- Residence Outreach: Work with residence life staff to develop an outreach schedule, increasing awareness of available resources and support for students most at risk of experiencing violence.
- Serve as a bridge between students and the SVPRA.
- Awareness Event Planning: Utilize added staff resources and a programming budget to increase awareness of sexual violence and available supports on campus.
- Cultural Relevance: Collaborate with student advisors and groups to develop culturally relevant resources meeting unique needs, including those of DEI and international students.
- Partnerships: Partner with the Bloomfield Hub and community partners to offer programming for survivors of sexual violence and their allies.

**Qualifications**:

- Baccalaureate Degree in a related discipline (Psychology, sociology, women & gender studies, health).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Understanding of peer-led education approaches.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse student groups and advisors.
- Demonstrated experience in event planning and social media management.
- Knowledge of sexual violence prevention and support resources is an asset.
