**Position**
Financial Analyst

**The Role**
As a Financial Analyst, you will work internally with project teams on different projects, providing essential financial analysis and support. This is a client-facing role and you will be involved in conducting in-depth financial analysis, preparing reports, collaborating with stakeholders, and contributing to financial decision-making.

**What You’ll Do**
- Work closely with internal and client-side stakeholders to understand project requirements, provide financial guidance, and ensure alignment with financial goals. Participate in project meetings and provide financial insights to support decision
- making.
- Gather and analyze financial data, assess project performance, identify trends, and present insights. Generate accurate financial reports, including budgets, forecasts, and cost analysis.
- Assist in the development of project budgets and forecasts. Monitor actual expenses against budgets, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions. Contribute to the financial planning process, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Identify and evaluate financial risks associated with projects. Collaborate with the project team to develop mitigation strategies and ensure financial regulation and policy adherence.
- Continuously improve financial processes and systems to optimize efficiency and accuracy. Implement best practices in financial analysis and reporting. Explore new tools and technologies to streamline financial operations.

**Who You Are**
- Have a proven track record as a Financial Analyst, preferably in a project-based environment. Proficient in financial modelling, data analysis, and interpreting complex financial information.
- Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide valuable insights. Proficiency in using financial analysis tools and software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to internal and client-side stakeholders. Strong presentation skills.
- Possess a keen eye for detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting. Ensure data integrity and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

**Ability to commute/relocate**
- Vancouver, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification is a plus.

**Experience**
- Proven experience as a Financial Analyst or in a similar role, preferably in the software project management/advisory industry.
- Experience in project financial management, including tracking project expenses, analyzing profitability, and controlling project finances.

**Work Location**
- One location
