Position 1: Manager, Business Solutions. This leader will be responsible for managing infrastructure, network, facilities, cloud, and end-user device services.
- Position 2: Manager, Business Solutions. This leader will be responsible for managing field services, service management, and telephony services.

**What can I expect to do in this role?**: As the
**Manager, Business Solutions**, you will:

- build, manage and sustain efficient processes, current and emerging technologies and rich data to enable present and future government business models.
- lead and manage a team through coaching, promoting innovation and building diversity within the team.
- direct project planning for all phases of many concurrent large-scale projects including developing and managing project budgets, directing teams of project staff and developing performance measures for evaluation.
- oversee technical discussions and stakeholder consultations with senior managers.
- direct the development, evaluation, and approval of systems and programs.
- develop and manage relationships with ministry clients, stakeholders, suppliers, partners and other clusters/ministries.
- provide technical advice and direction to project teams and informed recommendations and decisions to senior management.
- carry out management functions including, recruitment, performance management, resource management, and learning and staff development.

- You have knowledge of project management including planning, estimating, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, to effectively manage multiple, complex large-scale high priority projects.
- You have the ability to provide advice and expertise to senior management/executives regarding critical or emerging issues or concerns that could impact ministry priorities, and aid in the development of responses.

**Communication and Relationship Management Skills**:

- You have demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to develop and deliver presentations, executive briefings, and manage customer and service relationships.
- You have proven negotiation skills and able to establish working relationships with clients, project stakeholders, vendors, staff and management
- You can present recommendations and options for technical improvements/enhancements, introduce new technologies and discuss complex IT solutions with business clients, management and executives.
- You have experience building and leveraging strong relationships with stakeholders/partners to promote client focused business innovation based on best practices.
- You have demonstrated judgement and political acuity to recognize and take into account sensitive political situations when providing advice.

**Technical Expertise and Specialized Knowledge**:

- You have experience with business modeling and problem-solving approaches and able to provide with business and technical expertise to direct staff in the resolution of problems and technical challenges.
- You have experience with establishment of service level agreements required to ensure sound operational support. You can negotiate and manage underpinning agreements between technology vendors and services providers to ensure end-to-end support that meets business needs.
