Asssistant Chief of Training Position Details:
The Canadian Fire Rescue College is seeking to add one Assistant Chief of Training to the company. As the Assistant Chief of Training, you would be responsible for:

- Delivering firefighter training programs of various kinds
- Handle general administrative tasks
- Assume the role of a fire service officer in station/on campus
- Respond to emergency callouts on an on-call basis for the local fire department.

Your shift will generally be based on a Monday to Friday work week. However, some evenings and weekends will be expected when required. The Assistant Chief of Training must reside within 20 minutes of the Alberta Beach fire station or be willing to stay on station during their shifts.

Compensation:

- $78,000 per year starting wage
- Days off in lieu of Overtime
- Eight-weeks paid Holidays

- NFPA 1001-L2
- NFPA 1072-0
- NFPA 1041-L2
- NFPA 1021-L4
- NFPA 1521-ISO
- NFPA 1521-HSO
- Alberta Registered EMR
- Unrestricted class 3Q Driver's Licence
- H2S Alive
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Be willing to commence work within 30 days of acceptance

A combination of experience and qualifications may be considered in lieu of select certifications requirements.

- teaching: 1 year (preferred)
- Firefighting: 5 years (preferred)

- Red Cross Instructor Certificate (preferred)
- NFPA 1021 Level 4 (preferred)
