**Opportunity**

This is an opportunity based in Edmonton, Alberta and is curated for motivated individuals that believe in a team environment. The role of Processing and Packaging Supervisor will be a part of the harvesting, drying, trimming, and packaging team and report to the Operations Manager and Master Grower on a daily basis ensuring a compliant, safe operation in all aspects of plant drying, trimming as well as bulk and retail packaging aspects but not limited to all day-to-day facility operations.

The harvest and processing duties include managing cannabis plants at time of harvest and accurately recording plant ID and weights, followed by daily maintenance checks and environmental monitoring throughout the drying and curing process.

Primary duties will be surrounding the oversight and logistics of inventory, final retail packaging, and packaging staff. Allocating the appropriate bulk biomass per batch to the designated final packaging formats of dried flowers or pre-rolls, and accurately recording all aspects of the packaging and labelling process of goods shipped across Canada.

The Processing Supervisor will work closely with the processing team and management to execute day-to-day processing/packaging duties.

**Specific Skills**:

- Manage production and processing operations to maintain a high quality of standards and is responsible to meet order deadlines.
- Maintain inventory of raw materials and controlled products.
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and all current regulations with regards to the processing/production/destruction of cannabis products, as well as maintain accurate record keeping.
- Monitor environmental inputs of production rooms and drying rooms.

**Roles & Responsibilities**

Working closely with the Operations Manager, Quality Assurance Manager and Master Grower to allow proper management of the product processing including:

- Lead, train, and oversee the performance of the processing/packaging team members.
- Create and maintain a positive and safe workspace.
- Enforce compliance with legislative policies, safety protocols, including the correct use of personal protective equipment, handling and the use of chemicals, and sanitation procedures.
- Inventory management and record keeping verify compliance with regulatory requirements (this will include: bulk biomass, material inputs, finished goods and shipped goods).
- Create and communicate production schedules with Operations Manager and QA department.
- Environmental monitoring.
- Assisting Master Grower with harvest procedures.
- Additional duties deemed necessary by management.

**Qualifications**

**Required"**
- High school diploma/equivalent: Diploma/degree considered as asset
- Above average computer competencies (barcode software, Microsoft office, inventory monitoring system, etc.)
- Experience in food and beverage considered an asset
- Must be precise and detail oriented
- Must be able to pass security clearance background check
- Ability to comfortably stand, squat, bend, and/or kneel for long periods of time. Be able to lift and move up to 50lbs.
- Be able to work in temperature-controlled rooms, with high energy lighting and full sanitary clothing

**Preferred Assets**
- Pervious experience in Cannabis manufacturing
- Formal education in manufacturing efficiencies or project management
- Excellent verbal communication skills, ability problem solving, be able to adapt to a fast-paced environment and is passionate about learning.

**Schedule**
- 8-hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Occasional weekends

**Ability to commute**
- Edmonton, AB T6B3S7: reliably commute (required)

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
