La durée du contrat : 14 mois

Relevant de la Directrice des affaires externes des Amériques, vous chapeauterez l’ensemble des communications externes et internes de même que des relations avec les communautés à travers le Canada et les États-Unis. Vous veillerez aux opportunités de communication pour les membres de la direction, conseillerez et rédigerez le matériel de communication en français et en anglais.

Vous superviserez la coordination des activités de communication internes, incluant les rencontres d’employés, la rédaction de publications et la gestion des différents programmes de dons et commandites. Vous soutiendrez les ressources humaines afin de faire rayonner la marque employeur au moyen de campagnes promotionnelles.

Principales tâches et responsabilités:

- Établir et maintenir des bonnes relations avec les parties prenantes internes et externes de l’entreprise par le biais de programmes, d’activités et de communications en lien avec les valeurs d’Alcoa;
- Cerner les opportunités de rayonnement externes de la marque et développer le matériel de communication associé;
- Conseiller et appuyer les membres de la direction lors de sorties publiques;
- Aider à rédiger et approuver les communications des sites canadiens et américains dirigées vers l’externe;
- Travailler en collaboration avec les sites afin de générer du contenu diffusé à l’interne;
- Organiser les rencontres internes d’employés sur une base trimestrielle en Amérique du Nord;
- Agir à titre de porte-parole pour toute forme de communication externe avec les médias lorsque requis et approuver les sorties médiatiques des sites canadiens et américains;
- Coordonner les visites et événements spéciaux conjointement avec les sites;
- Gérer les budgets et campagnes relatifs aux dons, commandites, publicité, événements et firmes externes;
- Travailler de concert avec les ressources humaines, afin de développer des campagnes de visibilité susceptibles de faire rayonner la marque employeur;

Pour jouer un rôle dans notre succès continu, nous recherchons quelqu'un avec:
- Bonnes connaissances des pratiques d’entreprise en termes de communication et d’activités liées aux communautés;
- Maîtrise du français et de l’anglais, à l’oral et à l’écrit et aptitudes marquées de communication tant écrites que verbales (le bilinguisme est requis puisque c’est un rôle de soutien pour l’ensemble des sites en Amérique du Nord);
- Très fortes habiletés d’interaction, tant avec l’interne que l’externe des différents milieux;
- Faire preuve d'un leadership rassembleur, de dynamisme et de structure;
- Capacité à gérer plusieurs projets à la fois et à travailler sous pression;
- Pensée analytique et stratégique, vision à long terme;

Communications Manager in North America

Job type: Full-time, Fixed-term contract

Contract duration: 14 months

About the role

Alcoa is looking for a Communications Manager in North America. Reporting to the Director of External Affairs for the Americas, you will oversee all external and internal communications and community relations across Canada and the United States. You will identify communication opportunities for leadership team, advise on and draft communication material in French and English, and manage various donation and sponsorship programs. You coordinate internal communications activities, including employee meetings and publication of content. You will support human resources in promoting the employer brand through promotional campaigns.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

- Establish and maintain good relations with the company's internal and external stakeholders through programs, activities and communications in line with Alcoa's values;
- Identify external brand outreach opportunities and develop associated communications materials;
- Advise and support management during public outings;
- Help write and approve external communications for Canadian and US sites;
- Work with plant locations to generate stories and content for internal distribution;
- Organize internal employee meetings on a quarterly basis;
- Act as media spokesperson when required;
- Coordinate visits and special events in conjunction with the sites;
- Manage budgets and campaigns for donations, sponsorships, advertising, events and external firms;
- Work with Human Resources to develop visibility campaigns to promote the employer brand;
