**ABOUT US**:
Based in Melville, NY, USA, Sage Parts is the world’s largest supplier of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and airport-related replacement parts with warehouses in the United States, Canada, Chile, France, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Africa, and The Netherlands. Sage Parts supplies replacement parts and accessories for all types and brands of GSE including aircraft cargo loaders, deicers, pushback tractors, baggage tractors, ground power units, pre-conditioned air units, air start units, lavatory/water vehicles, transporters and dollies. Sage provides supply chain management, on site supply services, single source supply and other cost reduction programs.

We are seeking an experienced Buyer for approximately 6 months, to assist our Sourcing Team in our **Dorval, Montreal-Quebec** location.

**_Job Description: _**

The Buyer is primarily responsible for branch purchasing activities, including parts research, supplier identification, and placing and managing supplier PO’s. Ability and availability to perform all typical inventory management and warehousing and logistics functions as well as any other related or requested customer supporting requirements assigned from time to time. Other tasks that may be reasonably requested from time to time.

**_Job Requirements: _**
- 2 - 3 years of Purchasing experience
- Strong skill set in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must fluently speak and communicate in English. Any additional languages are beneficial and would be considered an advantage
- Knowledge and Experience within the Industrial or Automotive parts market place would be an asset.

**_Principle Responsibilities: _**
- Placement of purchase orders with suppliers based upon system generated requirement information
- Price confirmation and expected delivery date as required
- Expedite and follow up on purchase orders to improve or confirm expedited delivery dates as required by Supervisor or as Business dictates
- Problems resolution for accounting and receiving discrepancies, particularly with respect to communication with suppliers’ for purchase orders the Buyer placed
- Creating and maintaining documentation / records of communication with the supplier

**_Principle Decisions: _**
- Supplier selection where the business system allows secondary suppliers to be used
- Price agreement within guidelines set by the local supervision or business policies
- Delivery date negotiations within guidelines set by the local supervision or business policies

**_Problem Resolutions: _**
- Typically problems will be brought to the attention of local supervision for guidance, except where guidelines have been set to allow the incumbent to resolve the problem.
