**Working Schedule**: 35 hours per week

**Qualifications**:
Hold a Diploma of Vocational Studies in a specialty appropriate for the class of employment, a Secondary School Diploma or a diploma or an attestation of studies recognized as equivalent by the competent authority, and have six (6) years of pertinent experience.

AND

Have a thorough knowledge of office automation.

**Other Requirements**:
Must be bilingual (French and English) with excellent written and oral communication skills

Knowledge of ACHAT system would be an asset

Must be able to work effectively with a variety of individuals as part of a team

Must have excellent knowledge of spreadsheet database and word processing software (MS Excel and Word)

Experience in purchasing would be an asset

Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision

May be asked to work additional hours during peak periods

Will be required to work during the summer (excludes two weeks closure of Head Office)

**Salary scale as per the IASS’ Collective Agreement**:
$22.81 - $27.10 per hour

Nature of the work

The principal and customary work of an employee in this class of employment consists in buying goods required by the school board according to established practices.

Characteristic functions

The employee in this class of employment must keep up-to-date price lists and catalogues and identify potential suppliers.

The employee analyzes purchase orders for goods, services or rentals, obtains information from users and requests pricing and bids; if necessary, he or she participates in the opening of bids. He or she ensures that the bids correspond to the requirements and determines which is the most advantageous for the school board, taking into consideration the availability of supplies, price, quality, guarantee, delivery date and location, after-sales service and, if necessary, taxes, discounts and customs charges.

The employee discusses prices and conditions of purchase with suppliers when the purchasing process does not include bids.

The employee meets with sales representatives, monitors price trends, checks packing slips and, if necessary, invoices and follows up with suppliers when goods are not delivered within the prescribed time or if the product does not conform to the specifications or to follow up on user complaints.

Processing purchase orders

Assist schools, centres and departments with order request

Provide training to employees on how to use our online shopping cart

Update our internal digital catalogues

When required, to provide assistance to help resolve issues pertaining to an existing order

ET

Avoir des connaissances approfondies en bureautique.

**Autres exigences**:
Doit être bilingue (français et anglais) et avoir d’excellentes compétences en communication orale et écrite

La connaissance du système ACHAT serait un atout

Doit pouvoir travailler efficacement avec différentes personnes en tant que membre d’une équipe

Doit avoir une excellente connaissance des logiciels de chiffrier électronique et de traitement de texte (MS Excel et Word)

Expérience aux achats (un atout)

Capacité de travailler de façon autonome avec peu ou pas de supervision

Doit pouvoir travailler des heures supplémentaires pendant les périodes occupées

Doit travailler en été (sauf pendant les deux semaines de fermeture du centre administratif)

**Échelle de salaire selon la convention collective del’UIES**:
22.81$ - 27.10 $ par heure
