JOB TITLE: Credit Counsellor (Part Time / Full Time)

REPORTS TO: Managing Director

SALARY RANGE: Dependent upon qualifications

The Credit Counsellor’s role is to advise and educate clients on the best solution available for their current debt situation. Empathy and a genuine desire to work as part of a team and help people is a key part of this role. You will gather financial information, create action plans to assist clients with their budget and find solutions to meet the needs of clients

EDUCATIONS/EXPERIENCE, SKILLS:

- Post-secondary education and or/relevant work experience is desirable.
- Customer service experience required, with previous banking/financial industry experience an asset.
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
- Strong organizational abilities, including the ability to multi-task while ensuring attention to detail.
- Empathetic and professional manner while demonstrating active listening skills.
- A solutions-focused approach with the ability to adapt to change.
- Ability to focus on finding beneficial solutions for clients and resolving concerns.
- Understanding of consumer credit and personal money management concepts.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: From $16.00 per hour

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Weekend availability
