**NOTE**:This posting represents a permanent part-time position working 2 days (14 hours) per week.

**SCOPE**
Reporting to the Chair of the EAP Committee, the incumbent supports and facilitates the Employee Assistance Program’s (EAP) overall administrative operation. He/she serves as a liaison and resource person for internal clients and representatives of the external provider.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Act as the contact person for communication between the EAP Committee and the external provider.
- With the EAP Committee, set policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
- Review and authorize invoice payments. Present financial budget and annual reports to the EAP Committee, the Office of the Treasurer, the Associate Vice-President, Human Resources, and the appropriate Vice-President as may be needed.
- Coordinate program evaluation, committee feedback and research. Promote Program, assist in development of promotional materials and organize and facilitate regular Wellness Seminars.
- Maintain cooperative working relationships with departments, unions, associations, and act as facilitator to employees seeking information.
- Organize meetings of the EAP Committee and its sub-committees, which include agenda, minutes, and correspondence.
- Oversee the maintenance of the EAP Web-site with the assistance of the Human Resources Communication Advisor.
- Act as facilitator and internal information resource when requested by faculty and staff seeking information about EAP services, including the program’s drug and alcohol recovery program (DARP).
- In accordance with the guidelines established by the EAP Committee, develop, arrange, and schedule, in consultation with the external provider and internal resource experts, information sessions and training for employees and supervisors.
- Perform additional tasks required by Chair of the EAP Committee.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor’s degree in a field related to the primary responsibilities and 2-4 years of experience in the administration of programs, preferably in a unionized academic setting
- Very good knowledge (Level 5) of written and spoken English and good knowledge (Level 4) of written and spoken French.
- Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills and ability to exercise sound judgment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to deal sensitively with individuals as well as to speak to groups
- Aptitude to work in a service-oriented environment as both a member of a team and independently and handle confidential information as may be required and act with tack and diplomacy.
- Availability to work flexible hours to meet required demands/deadlines and for unforeseen and urgent situations.

Concordia University is an English-language institution of higher learning at which the primary language of instruction and research is English. Since this position supports academic and administrative functions of the university, proficiency in English and French, as indicated, is required.
