**Job Overview**

Reporting to the Branch Manager, as the **Sales **Consultant** you will contribute to the success and effectiveness of Star by providing sales expertise for Ready to Move homes and cottages, garages, and sheds. You will be responsible for the direct sale of Ready to Move homes and cottages, garages and sheds, and will provide exceptional customer service to existing and potential customers throughout all stages of the sale and construction process.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Acting as primary point of contact for customers in relation to the sale of Ready to Move Homes, garden sheds, garages, and shops. Consulting with prospective customers to assess needs and requirements of customers to describe and recommend appropriate products.
- Promoting sales to existing customers and identifying and soliciting potential customers. Maintaining daily records of sales quotations provided to customers and following-up with prospective customers as required.
- Staying up to date with the specifications and ongoing promotions of market competitors. Attending special training of products or services to understand product features, trends, and/or styles of products within the market.
- Liaising with design and estimating departments and providing input into design and production where required in order to meet customer expectations. Ensuring customer expectations are accurately related and priced.
- Working with the project management team throughout the building process. Acting as a conduit between the customer and project management team to ensure the customer expectations and requirements are met and clearly communicated.
- Participating in pre-construction meetings to ensure contract and plans meet customer expectations. Participating in the preparation of sales contracts and presenting contracts to clients.
- Performing final walk-throughs with the customer and reporting any service concerns. Consulting with customers after construction to resolve any problems.
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues and customers. Ensuring a positive customer experience by setting precise expectations and informing clients accurately on the building process.

**Essential Requirements**
- High School Diploma, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of building construction and experience with the building industry.
- Previous related sales experience.
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
- Comfortable using office equipment, Microsoft Office Programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint and PowerPoint), and CRM or ERP software (HubSpot, NewStar Sales etc.).

**Work Conditions**

You primarily work in an office setting during regular business hours including Saturdays, with travel to construction sites required on a frequent basis. Overtime may be occasionally required.
