**The Opportunity**
Our British Columbia and Yukon headquarters is seeking a temporary Instructor Care Specialist for our Learning, Development, and Standards (LDS) team. You are an extraordinary communicator who will be cultivating, building, and maintaining positive relations with potential and current instructors across the province. You will ensure that all duties and responsibilities are completed accurately and delivered with high quality, in a timely and professional manner. This includes ensuring a quality image conveyed by St. John Ambulance BC & Yukon, at all times, and consistently and effectively communicating the St. John Ambulance vision.
**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Coordinate with branch/regional mentors on prerequisite classes for new instructors;
- Coordinate with branch/regional mentors for team teaching and monitoring;
- Monitor the LDS team inbox;
- Process course reports;
- Back up LDS Administration functions;
- Monitor instructor qualifications for renewal;
- Assist in scheduling courses for instructors for re-certification;
- Update and track instructor records;
- Oversee documents for instructors such as certificates and criminal background checks;
- Prepare instructor development materials for workshops;
- Set up instructor access to SharePoint; and
- Assist in publishing the Instructor Alert newsletter.
**Knowledge and Skills**
- Organized and self-motivated;
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal);
- Strong conflict resolution skills;
- Ability to work well in a team and independently;
- St. John Ambulance Instructor Development Program (IDP) certification is an asset; and
- Experience as a first aid instructor is an asset.
