The Opportunity
The Financial & Strategic Services department is looking for a dynamic individual with strong interpersonal skills and proven customer service to join their Assessment and Taxation team.

The individual we seek is passionate about providing great service and is confident to provide customer service explanations on tax and assessment queries. The role is well suited to someone with knowledge of the cyclical nature of the taxation system and an understanding of assessment and taxation processes. The Taxation Representative is privy to confidential information and must have strong integrity and good judgment. Strong analytical skills, dependability, flexibility and an eye for detail are also essential for this role.

**Qualifications**:

- High School diploma and a minimum 3 years of frontline customer service experience, with a working knowledge of municipal taxation disciplines and applicable legislation is required.
- A working knowledge of banking procedures or previous banking experience would be beneficial
- General office experience in a computerized environment coupled with extensive accounting and collection experience in administering pre-authorized payment options demonstrating analytical skills.
- Working knowledge of conveyancing, land titles, property sales and mortgage transactions.
- Must be, at minimum, an intermediate user of the Microsoft Office Suite. Prior experience with Tempest is beneficial.

Hours of Work
We offer a compressed work schedule of 72 hours bi-weekly (Monday - Friday, with a regular day off [RDO] every two weeks).
Compensation
$55,244 - $65,985 per annum. In addition, the City of St. Albert offers a generous and comprehensive benefit package.
