**The Opportunity**

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Marketing Coordinator to join our company.

**What does a Marketing Coordinator do at Ideal Security?**

With over 300 products in our catalogue, we are constantly balancing our time between managing the day-to-day and planning long-term marketing campaigns and product launches. The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for executing day-to-day marketing functions to ensure that our customers and vendors have a consistent, relevant, and pleasant experience when they encounter our products and brand online or in person.

While a lot of people think marketing is something that happens effortlessly, there are a ton of minute details and redundant tasks that take place on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis that need to come together to produce initiatives that are successful in the market.

**On a day-to-day basis, this translates to working on the following tasks**:

- Draft and publish content for product launches (titles, descriptions, bullets, instructions, images) on eCommerce platforms such as Amazon and Ideal Security’s websites.
- Maintain and update key product information such as titles, descriptions, bullets, images, and product dimensions in Plytix, our product information management tool.
- Create written content for the customer journey, including FAQ articles, blog posts, and social media posts.
- Establish strong working relationships with agencies, freelancers, and remote assistants by creating clear project briefs and coordinating the approval process to efficiently create and publish new content (product information, sell sheets, product instructions, product packaging, videos, landing pages).
- Participate in the production of video content and photo shoots for new product launches and corporate initiatives.
- Maintain and update our digital product catalogues using Pagination, our digital catalogue content creation tool.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Director and team to establish marketing priorities and accomplish weekly and monthly objectives.
- Organize and file documents on our server to ensure easy access for future use and reference.
- Track stats and collect data for monthly reports.

This is an entry-level marketing position. We are looking to bring in an individual to our team who wants to grow in marketing at Ideal Security.

In this role you will have the opportunity to:

- Take ownership of projects, clean up messes, and see regular “wins.”
- Determine how to prioritize your own day-to-day workload based on the strategic direction.
- Get a 360° view and understanding of the organization’s activities and how your work impacts the success of the company (we don’t work in siloes).

**About You**

There are four important skills required for this role:

- **You can see things from a customer perspective.** While prior marketing experience is not required, you need to be able to create and execute projects with an understanding that you are not the customer. This shift in perspective has a substantial impact on how you approach tasks. It affects everything from how product titles are written to which images are selected for social media.
- **Technology is your good friend.** Whether it is exploring our marketing automation tool, collaborating with a language model to generate content ideas, testing a new website upload feature, or deploying content on social media - from stories to reels to simple posts - you approach technology as a playground for experimentation, believing that most issues can be resolved
- **Standardization and consistency are key.** Keeping a brand and product catalogue looking professional requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to uniformity. You will ensure that all product information and marketing materials adhere to our established standards, presenting a cohesive and polished image across all platforms.

**Other Key Requirements**
- Experience: 0-2 years
- Strong work ethic grounded in reliability and accountability, promoting teamwork over a hierarchical approval process. We also encourage a proactive approach that involves experimenting with new ideas and learning from any mistakes.
- Strong computer skills, the ability to learn and use multiple and diverse information technology tools in different environments.
- Bilingual or able to work with English-to-French translators

- Basic skills with some graphic tools: Canva
- Basic skills with SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and keyword research
