The person would work with children who have special needs and their families. Guidance to ensure follow through of recommendations would be given by the Occupational Therapist, Speech Language Therapist, behavioral Therapist.

Position 1: and 2 The hours typically are 2 hours evening weekdays or on weekends. Time needs to be negotiated. Two families North end

Position 3: 230 to 5. Need to pick up child from the school and bring to home. Weekend North end

Position 4: Hired by parent 22 dollars an hour 11:30 to 2:00. Weekend. Working with teen.

**Job description**
- **A-Link Therapy**_ is looking for developmental aid /community aid to work with families in their home to implement speech language, occupational therapy and behavioral therapy strategies.

Need to be active and enjoy working with children and or teen.

**You will need**

Current clear criminal and vulnerability record check. Reimbursement for records check would occur with success of 1 month probation.
- Be very physically active and creative. Be willing to play in the snow, play at the park summer and winter, go swimming if appropriate.
- Willing to learn and implement strategies in a fun and safe way
- Able to be proactive and with support set up developmentally appropriate games, crafts, cooking, toy play, and physical activities, ect.
- A calm disposition is needed.
- Be reliable and able to complete documentation for each visit. Training would be provided.
- You do need to have your own vehicle to be able to transport self to places. Having the ability to transport people would be an asset.
- Having experience working with children on the spectrum would be an asset.
- There is no cell phone for personal use during work hours, any use of profanity is prohibited, use of any rough or restraints is prohibited.
- Love working with people who are from a variety of cultures and using a play approach to help children learn and grow is a must.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 11 months

**Salary**: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 - 4 per week
