We are looking to hire an experienced full-time **Operations Manager **for our Windsor, Ontario terminal. The Operations Manager is responsible for coordinating day-to-day dock/office operations, to make certain of a best practices approach. _NB: This role embodies an exceptional career opportunity for a person familiar with a variety of transportation vehicles, equipment, service requirements, and transport legislation._

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Ensure that the dock is adequately staffed and that personnel are properly trained to carry out their work in a safe and competent manner
- Work with the employees to ensure a safe work environment consistent with relevant legislation and company policies
- Ensure that the dock is efficiently scheduled to meet customer requirements and that customer issues are resolved in an effective and timely manner
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, quality, budget targets and contribute to the growth of the company in a pro-active manner
- Oversee all routine and preventative maintenance and schedule any major repairs in accordance with production requirements
- Manage the overall logistics of the company’s shipping and receiving
- Manage the shift Operations Supervisors
- Work closely with customer service to provide the best possible service for our customers
- All other duties as assigned by Management.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 3-5 years managerial experience - leading people.
- Minimum 3-5 years Transportation industry experience - LTL, cross-dock, etc.
- Previous experience within the Warehouse/Transportation/Logistics Industry.
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Proven problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to achieve operational goals.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle several complex tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to take ownership of issues and problem analysis, decision making and resolution.
- Ability to work effectively, efficiently, and courteously with other staff.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
