Overview:
Element has an opportunity for a
**Login Technician** to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team in one of the various laboratories across Element, the
**Login Technician** position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under direct supervision. The technician positions must be proficient in a number of core business skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.

**Responsibilities**:

- Receive samples and document receipt
- Inspect samples and sample information sheet, documenting sample integrity. Notify Team Leaders of any potential problems with samples, analysis or client requests.
- Communicate with client regarding sample integrity and analysis requests and document all communications
- Enter sample and client information into LIMS, assigning analysis requirements and generating sample labels, Notice of Sample Receipt and Lot Communication Sheets
- Distribute samples to the correct sample storage location
- Determine internal/external sublet location and prepare sample for shipping
- Complete daily checks of sample storage equipment
- Receive payment from clients
- Request supplies and consumables in advance of requirement by recording needed items in order book
- Follow the Quality System as documented in the Quality Manual
- General duties as directed by the team leader or operations manager
- Strict adherence to the corporate Quality System
- Read, understand and follow all relevant Standard Operating Procedures
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment and notify coworkers of potential sample hazards; comply with all rules and responsibilities as outlined under the corporate Health and Safety Policy

Skills / Qualifications:

- Working knowledge of laboratory safety
- HS diploma or GED certificate preferred. College or vocational school coursework welcomed
- 0-2 years’ experience in a testing related field
- Basic understanding of testing concepts
- Possess computer skills.

Physical Demands:

- Frequency of required physical force: Minimum (moderate).
- Lifting requirements: lifting
50 lbs. on occasion
- Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time
- Ability to lift 50+lbs periodically
